Introduction to the 4 applications of Mindfulness

This contemplative training is based on the Mindfulness of the body, feelings, mind, and phenomena this training is meant to experience emotions and life from a dimension where is possible to understand our capacity to cope with reality from the perspective of our potential, therefore gaining resilience with respect to our emotions is achievable.

This are some of the results we can expect form this contemplative training:

  • Increasing emotional awareness of the different phases of emotional episodes and their effects. This understanding allows us to make wise choices.

 

  • Knowing the “Spark before the Flame” through increased clarity of subtle cues of emotion, which provides choice in adapting and responding before becoming completely overwhelmed.
    Enhancing emotional regulation through nurturing a presence of ease that allows one to openly experience intense waves of emotion without reactivity. Non-reactivity provides a stable platform for soothing and transforming emotions.

 

  • Building meta-cognitive awareness and refining the capacity to observe mental events without getting caught up in them and retriggering emotions.

 

  • Strengthening empathy by building the capacity to feel and resonate with the emotions of others, while maintaining our self-awareness. This ability to be aware of our emotional resonance is an effective strategy to manage feelings of being emotionally overwhelmed. When we are not overwhelmed we have the resources to respond with compassion.

The program consists in spent certain number of hours in each of the 4 trainings (body, feelings, mind and phenomena).

  • Beginning with training of Mindfulness of the body the participant can have a direct experience of the psychosomatic episode of an emotion, this time form very a different angle which is being grounded in the body, a place where we are stronger by nature since we will work with 4 elements; earth, air, fire, and water. A place to be discover with the power of the awareness to understand what this body is made of and why is possible to see emotions and life from a new virtuous perspective.

 

  • The training of the mindfulness of the feelings will show by itself the way we relate to the world through our physical senses and the mind sense in order to see what is possible to control and what is possible to understand. For this training is important that the participant have certain level of single point attention as a tool to investigate the nature of feelings.

 

  • The training for the mindfulness of the mind is a practice where the focus of the participant is mainly in the events of the mind and in its formations without getting cough into them or by them, this will allow the participant in the first section to see the movement of the thoughts with meaning or no meaning and on that platform start the investigation of the nature of these thoughts, as a result the participant can have a direct understanding of the possible freedom that is achievable from the torment of always being stray by thoughts.

 

  • Mindfulness of Phenomena training is an integrate practice where all doors of perception are open and form a state of mind full of awareness discover how all that is around us in our mind and body has a source, a space and a destination. The participant will learn how to integrate this open vision from a discriminative perspective allowing all phenomena being explain by itself.
